Josh James Sitton (* 16th June 1986 in Jacksonville , Florida ) is a former American American Footballer in the National Football League (NFL). He played as a guard for the Miami Dolphins , the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers with whom he won the Super Bowl XLV .

Sitton attended the University of Central Florida (UCF) and played for their team, the Knights in several positions in the offensive line successfully College Football .

NFL

Green Bay Packers

Sitton was selected by the Green Bay Packers as the 135th player in the 2008 NFL Draft in the 4th round . Since he injured himself in preparation for his rookie season, he was only used in eleven games in the 2008 season. Since 2009 he has been a starter in each of his games .

In 2011, his contract was extended for another five years. Before the 2016 season, Sitton was fired by the Packers after eight years.

Chicago Bears

On September 4, 2016, he was signed by the Chicago Bears . He was awarded a three-year contract worth $ 21.75 million with a guaranteed $ 10 million.

Miami Dolphins

In March 2018, Sitton signed a two-year contract with the Miami Dolphins .

In total, he was elected to the Pro Bowl four times .

In April 2019, Sitton announced his retirement from active sports.
