Zach Sullivan (born July 14, 1994 in Redhill , England ) is a British ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Braehead Clan in the Elite Ice Hockey League since 2014 .

Career

Zach Sullivan began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth division of Invicta Dynamos from Gillingham , for whose men's team he already played a game in the National Ice Hockey League , the third highest level in the United Kingdom, as a 12-year-old . In 2007 he moved to Swindon where he played for various junior teams for three years. During this time he was elected U15 All-Star of the English Ice Hockey Association in 2009. In 2010 he returned to his home club and played for them regularly in the National Ice Hockey League, but was also played by Guildford Phoenix in the English U18 league in 2010/11 and in 2011/12 by the Slough Jets in the English Premier Ice Hockey League , the second highest division in the UK. With the Jets he won the EPIHL playoffs in 2012. Previously, in 2011 he was elected U17 All-Star and Most Valuable Player of the U17 Conference of the English Ice Hockey Association. 2012 moved to Basingstoke Bison and was able to win the EPIHL playoffs and the English Premier Ice Hockey Cup again with the club in 2014 , he himself was elected to the league's All-Star Second Team. After these successes, the Scottish Braehead Clan signed him from the Elite Ice Hockey League , the UK's top league, where he has been playing since 2014. In 2015 and 2016 he was voted Young British Player of the Year .

International

For Great Britain, Sullivan initially took part in the U18 World Championship Division II 2012 in the junior division . With the U20 team of the British , he played at the Junior World Championships in 2012 , 2013 and 2014 in Division I.

With the British men's national team , he took part in the 2018 World Cup for the first time, when the British returned to the top division for the first time since relegation in the 1994 world championships.
