The Zadrna (German Zieder ) is a river in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland . It is a right tributary of the Bober and has a length of 16 kilometers.
The Zadrna is the main river of the Ziedertal, named after it, which is also known as the Grüssau Basin. It rises at an altitude of 600 m npm in the eastern slopes of the Rabengebirge between Berthelsdorf and Schömberg . In its upper reaches, it flows in a north-easterly direction through Chełmsko Śląskie, then north along the Chełmsko Śląskie - Landeshut road . The villages of Olszyny ( Erlendorf ), Jawiszów ( Kleinhennersdorf ), Neuen , Grüssau and Czadrów ( Oberzieder ), all of which belong to the rural community of Kamienna Góra, are on your way . In the town of Kamienna Góra (state hat ) the Zadrna flows into the Bober.
The Zadrna collects water to the west from the Rabengebirge and the Übersaar and to the east from the Schömberger Gebirge and the Waldenburger Bergland . In times of increased rainfall or during the snowmelt, floods must be expected. The Zadrna has overflowed its banks several times and flooded nearby places.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the reservoirs "Grüssau I" and "Grüssau II" were created in the less irrigated catchment areas of the river.
The fauna in the river is dominated by trout , grayling and minnows .
In 1971, a recreation area of 7.9 hectares was created around a lake with 20,000 m³ in Kamienna Góra.
There are two mechanical-biological sewage treatment plants in the Zadrna catchment area: one in Chełmsko Śląskie with a throughput of 290 m 3 / day and one in Krzeszów with 250 m 3 / day.
The Ziedertal Railway, which went into operation in 1899, ran along the banks of the Zadrna .
