Zankendorf is a district of the community of Niedermurach in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf in Bavaria .

Geographical location

Zankendorf is about four kilometers southwest of Niedermurach, about one kilometer west of State Road 2159 .

history

Zankendorf was first mentioned in writing in 1285 in the Duke's Surbar as the property of Duke Ludwig II of Upper Bavaria . In 1587 Zankendorf appeared in the draft protocols.

On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Zankendorf was part of the Pertolzhofen branch and had eight houses and 63 residents.

In 1946 the government in Regensburg dissolved the Nottersdorf community. Nottersdorf itself came to Niedermurach, Braunsried, Höflarn and Zankendorf to Pertolzhofen. The population of Nottersdorf opposed this regulation and achieved that the municipality of Nottersdorf was restored in its previous form on February 20, 1948.

On December 31, 1968, the municipality of Nottersdorf with its four districts Höflarn, Braunsried, Nottersdorf and Zankendorf had 179 inhabitants and an area of ​​621 ha.

On December 31, 1990 Zankendorf had 30 inhabitants and belonged to the Pertolzhofen branch.
