Voggendorf (2012)

Voggendorf is a district of the community of Niedermurach in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf in Bavaria .

Geographical location

Voggendorf is about one kilometer west of Ostmarkstrasse and two kilometers southwest of Teunz between the 563 m high Hennenbühl and the 529 m high Luderbühl.

history

Voggendorf was mentioned in writing for the first time in the draft protocols of 1587. In the statistical description of the Upper Palatinate by Joseph von Destouches from 1809, Voggendorf was mentioned with three houses as belonging to Fuchsberg and Teunz . On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Voggendorf was listed as part of the Niedermurach parish with 11 houses and 88 inhabitants. In 1969 the children from Voggendorf to Teunz started school and Voggendorf was part of the Rottendorf community. On December 31, 1990 Voggendorf had 53 inhabitants and belonged to the parish of Niedermurach.

Culture and sights

From Teunz , two kilometers to the northeast, comes the Franconian Way of St. James , which is marked with a white shell on a light blue background. The next stop is Rottendorf, two kilometers southwest of Voggendorf .
