history
Enzelsberg (as Entzensperge) was first mentioned in writing in 1285 in the Duke's Surbar as the property of Duke Ludwig II of Upper Bavaria . Enzelsberg was listed as a parish in a parish register from 1421 to 1446. Enzelsberg was mentioned in writing in the draft protocols of 1587. On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Enzelsberg was part of the Niedermurach parish and had 11 houses and 83 residents. On January 12, 1946, the community of Rottendorf was dissolved and Enzelsberg was incorporated into Niedermurach. The population of Enzelsberg was against this incorporation.
A few years later the incorporation was reversed and the original state restored. In 1969, Enzelsberg formed together with Rottendorf , Holmbrunn , Ödhöfling , Reichertsmühle , Schlotthof and Voggendorf the municipality of Rottendorf with a total of 268 inhabitants and an area of 1167.25 hectares. In the 1960s and 1970s, as in many other municipalities in the Upper Palatinate , the natural balance in the municipality of Rottendorf was disturbed by land consolidation . The landscape, the flora and fauna were caused irreparable damage to the landscape, to the flora and fauna, by cutting down the woods , using chemical weed and vermin control agents, and by destroying the mosaic-like landscape of ponds, ponds, wasteland, bushes and fields .
On December 31, 1990 Enzelsberg had 48 residents and belonged to the parish of Niedermurach.
