Zaskale is a village in the Szaflary municipality in the Tatrzański powiat of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland in the Podhale region . The village is located in the Kotlina Nowotarska valley about 18 km north of Zakopane and 2 km south of Nowy Targ .

Things are quieter in Zaskale than in the neighboring ski resorts of Zakopane or Bukowina Tatrzańska . The tourist infrastructure is being expanded. There is a modern church in the village, dedicated to Saint Adalbert . The Zaskalańskie Jodełko folklore festival takes place in the village at Mardi Gras .
