Life

Zass started playing volleyball at VC Brixental in 2000 . In 2006 he rose with the club to the second Austrian Bundesliga, in which he became the top scorer in the 2008/09 season. Under ÖVV team boss Michael Warm , Zass completely changed his volleyball techniques and, in addition to his already existing strong athleticism and jumping ability, developed into a complete volleyball player. In 2011 Zass moved to the French top club Paris Volley , where he became a regular player after initial difficulties. In 2012, the transfer to the German record champions and Champions League winner of 2007, VfB Friedrichshafen , followed under the former hotVolleys coach and German national coach Stelian Moculescu . After only one season, Zass moved to Greece to Foinikas Syros in 2013 .

Zass has been in the junior selection of the Austrian Volleyball Association since 2004 . In 2007 he made his men's debut in a test match against Switzerland, in which he was able to show with 14 points. In 2011, Zass experienced a career highlight with the home European championships in Austria and the Czech Republic , in which the ÖVV team was eliminated in the preliminary round after three defeats against Slovenia, Turkey and Serbia.
