Zbigniew Doda (born February 22, 1931 in Poznan ; † February 8, 2013 there ) was a Polish chess player .

Life

Zbigniew Doda was awarded the title of International Master by FIDE in 1964 . He won the Polish championship in 1964 and 1967. For the Polish national team he played on various boards in seven Chess Olympiads : 1960 , 1962 , 1964 , 1966 , 1968 , 1970 and 1974 ; including 1964 in Tel Aviv on the top board, he also took part in the 1973 European team championship in Bath . Doda played club chess from the late 1960s for the team of KS Lech Poznań , with whom he became Polish team champion in 1987 , before he was active for ZS Spójnia Poznań , KKS Hetman Wrocław and LKS Pogoń Wrocław .
