Life

Matějovský was a long-time member of the Bone Tumors Working Group. His late wife was consul of the Finnish Republic in Prague. He also acted as their driver and thus had a passport that enabled him to travel to western countries. In addition to Gottfried Dominok , Matějovský was one of the founding members of the Working Group on Bone Tumors of the States in the Council for Mutual Economic Aid , which existed until perestroika . One of the results of this working group was the joint publication of the malignant fibrous histiocytomas from the case collections of the Soviet Union , Hungary , Czechoslovakia and the German Democratic Republic under the main leadership of Matějovský, Dominok and Prof. Solowjew (Moscow). At the meetings of the working group, Matejovski reported regularly on the bone tumor meetings in Western Europe and the United States , in which he participated with his own lectures.

His son of the same name followed him to the chair .
