The coal mine Anna Catharina is a former coal mine in Bochum district Stiepel . The mine was also known under the name Zeche Annacatrin or Zeche Annacatrinagericht Stiepel . The mine was located east of today's Unterfeldstrasse.

Mining history

On February 8, 1763, the request was made . A coal bank with the name Anna Katharina was assumed. This coal bank was already exhausted and was located in the so-called Dahler Siepen. As mother , Konrad Schulte zur Oven and Henrich Johann Werth came to the east. The mother wanted a mine field the size of a treasure trove and two dimensions to the west and an equally large field to the east. A length field was awarded on April 23, 1765 . On May 6th, the concession was confirmed by a rescript from Berlin. After the award, the mine was put into operation. The mine was subsequently in operation for several years.
