The coal mine Anna Catharina is a former coal mine in Bochum district Stiepel . The mine was also known under the name Zeche Annacatrin or Zeche Annacatrinagericht Stiepel . The mine was located east of today's Unterfeldstrasse.
Mining history
On February 8, 1763, the request was made . A coal bank with the name Anna Katharina was assumed. This coal bank was already exhausted and was located in the so-called Dahler Siepen. As mother , Konrad Schulte zur Oven and Henrich Johann Werth came to the east. The mother wanted a mine field the size of a treasure trove and two dimensions to the west and an equally large field to the east. A length field was awarded on April 23, 1765 . On May 6th, the concession was confirmed by a rescript from Berlin. After the award, the mine was put into operation. The mine was subsequently in operation for several years. On January 18 of 1771 were as trades Konrad Schulte for Oven, Henrich Johann Werth to East, Evert Johann Korffmann, Johann Henrich Hellermann, Johann Hermann Schulte for Oven and Johann Henrich Schulte to Oven in the documents of the mining authority entered.
