After the castle was destroyed in the 11th century, the land came under Zawichostowi. In the 14th century the village came under the administration of the royal estates in Bródno. A mill was built on the Długa River in the 16th century, and the remains of the building are still there today. Probably as early as the 16th century, but no later than the 18th century, the name Zielonka arose. In the 17th century the village came into the possession of the Marcinkanki Monastery in Warsaw. During the Kościuszko uprising , October 26, 1794, a battle took place near Zielonka. In 1862, the Petersburg-Warsaw railway was built by Zielonka . At that time the population increased significantly. A narrow-gauge railway was built for military purposes. In 1939 a field airfield was set up for defense at Zielonka. On September 13, 1939, the community was occupied by the Wehrmacht . On November 11, 1939, in the forest, the Germans shot 9 scouts and residents of Zielonka.
