Zoey Clark (born October 25, 1994 in Aberdeen ) is a British sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Athletic career

Zoey Clark gained his first experience at international championships at the 2011 Junior European Championships in Tallinn, Estonia . There she helped the British 4 x 400 meter relay advance to the finals, where the team could then win the gold medal. In 2015 she won the gold medal with the British relay at the U23 European Championships there in 3: 30.07 min. In 2017, she qualified for the World Championships in London , where she was eliminated from the individual 400 meter competition with 51.81 seconds in the semi-finals . With the relay she surprisingly won the silver medal behind the US team in 3: 25.00 minutes . In 2018 she finished sixth at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham in 52.16 s and won the bronze medal in the relay in 3: 29.38 min. At the beginning of April she participated in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast , where she was eliminated in the individual competition with 52.06 s in the semifinals and finished sixth with the Scottish team in 3: 29.18 min. In August she won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Berlin in 3: 27.40 minutes.

In 2017 she became British champion in the 400-meter run. She holds a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen .
