Zsolt Kalmár (born June 9, 1995 in Győr ) is a Hungarian football player . He is a tech-savvy right-footer and plays mostly in the central midfield. Kalmár has been with DAC Dunajská Streda since August 2017 .
Career
society
Kalmár played for Győri ETO FC in his youth . In the 2012/13 season he made his debut for the same club in the Nemzeti Bajnokság , the highest Hungarian league. So he was in the starting line-up in the away game against Budapest Honvéd on matchday 28 and was substituted in the 62nd minute. In his second game, an away game against Egri FC , which was also the last game of the season, he stood for the full 90 minutes and scored his first goal in the Nemzeti Bajnokság. In the end, Győr won the championship title by ten points. The following season Kalmár ran 21 times and scored two goals. Equal on points with the master Debreceni Vasutas SC he reached the runner-up with the team.
For the 2014/15 season Kalmár moved to the German second division club RB Leipzig . He received a contract until 2019. In the 2015/16 winter break, he was awarded to FSV Frankfurt until the end of the season in order to generate more match practice. The following year he played for some time under ex-RB coach Alexander Zorniger at Brøndby IF before being loaned out to DAC Dunajská Streda in August 2017 . For the 2018/19 season , the club finally acquired the transfer rights to Kalmár.
National team
Kalmár made his debut in the Hungarian senior team at the age of 18 . So coach Atilla Pintér changed him on May 22, 2014 in the friendly against Denmark in the 46th minute. Two more assignments followed in June of the same year.
Kalmár was the captain of his team at the U-19 European Championship in July 2014 in his own country . He played all three preliminary round matches and scored one goal in defeating Israel. With only three points, Hungary was eliminated after the preliminary round.
