Refuge from the Storm is the fourth studio album by Matt Gonzo Roehr . It was released on March 1, 2013 on the Rookies & Kings label as a standard and special edition, including DVD.
prehistory
At the beginning of October 2012 it was announced that Matt Gonzo Roehr, after some collaborations with Frei.Wild, signed a contract with their label Rookies & Kings . On October 12, 2012, the first EP Everything changes about the new label was released and the release of Zuflucht ohne Sturm was announced for January 2013 , which was later postponed to March 1, 2013. In early February 2013, an electronic press kit and a snippet of all the songs on the album were published on YouTube.
Music style and content
The songs on the album are mostly rock, only the song Träumer is a quieter ballad . With megaliths at sunrise, there is also a purely instrumental piece on the sound carrier.
Cover design
The album cover shows a drawing of a black and white electric guitar , surrounded by red and blue fish, birds and skulls. In the lower part of the illustration are the words Matt Gonzo Roehr and Refuge before the storm in black. The background is gray.
