Barton onion
Barton Zwiebach (born October 4, 1954 in Lima ) is a Peruvian theoretical physicist . He is a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and works in the field of string theory .
Zwiebach completed his studies in his native Peru and graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Ingenería in 1977 with a degree in electrical engineering.
He received his PhD from the California Institute of Technology under Murray Gell-Mann in 1983 . He was then a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California and MIT, where he became assistant professor in 1987 and professor in 1994.
