Series 2 details
Series 2 of Torchwood was filmed from April to November 2007 for broadcast starting on 16 January 2008.[3] It premiered in the US on the BBC America channel on Saturday January 26, 2008.[4] Due to audience demand, younger fans will have the opportunity to watch an edited pre-watershed repeat, aired the next day at an earlier time.

Plot details
The first episode sees James Marsters as Captain John Hart. He appears through the Rift under Cardiff looking for Captain Jack, but he disrupts Captain Jack's homecoming and places the world in danger.[10] Other plots in Series 2 include a memory-thief who uncovers long-forgotten secrets among the entire team,[11] an encounter with alien sleeper cells and saving a stranded creature from human exploitation ("Meat"). There will also be glimpses of the 51st Century ("Adam") and the First World War ("To the Last Man").[12]
Series 3
Executive producer Russell T. Davies has confirmed that a third series is in planning and pre-production stages, all but officially commissioned, pending the ratings of the second series.[13]
