Introduction

Feel free to join in! This is a fun and simple game in the Wikipedia:Sandbox. It's one place to practise making links to articles, and also a good starting point to look for interesting articles on Wikipedia that others have thought of.

How to Play

Normally for word association you want to think of the very first word that comes to mind. However, to make things interesting, in this second version of the Word Association game, this time the obj ect is to type the first word that comes to mind which is as completely unrelated to the previous word as possible. (The trick is not to think about it, just type the very first word.)

For example, the last word typed might be:

cat

Perhaps you might type "tissue", giving

cat tissue

or perhaps if you chose another word (again, completely unrelated!):

cat UFO

The next person might see "UFO" and they may happen to think of the word "cucumber", giving

cat UFO cucumber

As the game develops, you get a pretty long list! Try not to repeat any of the words that have already been listed.

In spirit of the game, please only type one word consecutively. Then, another person can respond to your word, and the game continues!

The game

See old game at Wikipedia:sandbox/word association/Archive

Try to have the next word unrelated to the last, but still the first word that comes to mind. We're trying to play word association, or perhaps word disassociation :-)

Sometimes, the game degenerates back into the normal version of word association, but it really doesn't matter because it's fun either way! (See if you can pick out when these switchovers occur)

Useless has now been entered twice into the game. Huzzah! Sirmob 13:17, 15 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
