Lady Gaga

Stefania Gabriella Germanotta (born March, 1986), also known by her stage name Lady GaGa, is an American singer-songwriter dance-pop, electronica musician signed to Interscope Records. On April 8, 2008, she released her first single "Just Dance".[1]


The Name

The stage name "Lady GaGa" according to an interview by Ron Slomowicz, was said to be a reference to the song "Radio Ga-Ga" by Queen.[2]

The Hills

Lady GaGa made a cameo appearance on The Hills, Season 4 which aired on MTV on September 6th, 2008. She had a problem with her cat suit before her performace where Whitney and Lauren Conrad fixed her zipper that was broken. She performed the first 10 seconds of her song LoveGame featured on her album The Fame.

So You Think You Can Dance

Lady GaGa appeared as a musical guest during the fourth season of So You Think You Can Dance on July 31, 2008, performing "Just Dance". The episode was the final elimination episode down from six contestants to the top four leading into the show finale, when Mark Kanemura and Chelsie Kay Hightower were cut.[3][4]

Miss Universe 2008

During the swimsuit competition of Miss Universe 2008, Lady GaGa performed her first single, "Just Dance".[5]
