The Cherrytree Sessions is the first EP of singer Lady Gaga . It was released for download in the United States and Canada on February 3, 2009 by the music labels Streamline, Kon Live, Cherrytree Records and Interscope Records . In Germany the EP was released on August 6, 2009 as CD .
Reception and commercial success
Mark Bleech from Bloomberg LP gave the EP a positive rating of 3 out of 4 stars. He also praised Lady Gaga's singing skills. Daily Express's Simon Gage rated the EP 3 stars out of 5:
“No, it is that she has a rather lovely voice. Often hidden under those dastardly catchy Eurobeats, on these earlier, simpler versions of tracks such as Poker Face and Just Dance, her voice gets a bit more of a chance to shine, as do the songs. "

The EP reached number 32 in the Mexican album charts. According to Nielsen SoundScan, it sold 9,000 copies in the US but failed to make it onto the Billboard Hot 200 .
