Million Reasons ( Engl. For millions of reasons') is a song by American pop singer Lady Gaga . It comes from her fifth studio album, Joanne , which was released in October 2016. The song was released as a promotional single on October 6, 2016.

Million Reasons was written by Lady Gaga, Hillary Lindsey and Mark Ronson and produced by Lady Gaga, BloodPop and Mark Ronson. The song is three minutes and 25 seconds long. In the song, Gaga is accompanied by a guitar and a piano. In the chorus she sings “You're giving me a million reasons to let you go / You're giving me a million reasons to quit the show” (“You give me a million reasons to let go / You give me a million reasons to do the show to end").
Background and artwork
After Perfect Illusion was released on September 9, 2016, she announced her Dive Bar Tour , which will include three appearances in a few bars across the United States. The first show was broadcast live on Bud Light's Facebook page on October 5, 2016 . At this gig she sang the song Million Reasons for the first time , as well as A-Yo , Sinner's Prayer and Perfect Illusion . After the performance you could pre-order the album Joanne on iTunes , where you got the song.
Lady Gaga posted a cover on her Twitter page a few hours after the song came out. You can see her, bare-chested and otherwise only wearing hot pants, lying on a meadow and looking into the distance. The cover is in black and white and the upper half reads “LADY GAGA / MILLION REASONS”.
Appearances
The song was sung live for the first time by Lady Gaga on the first appearance of the Dive Ball Tour on October 5th. She also sang the song on her second and third stop. Also in October, she sang the song on the television show Saturday Night Live . On October 24, 2016, she performed an acoustic version of the song at Howard Stern . At the 2016 American Music Awards , she sang the song while playing a guitar in a setting that looked like a farm .
In 2017 the song was an integral part of the Joanne World Tour and is played as an encore.
