Swine ( Eng .: 'Pig') is a song by the American pop singer Lady Gaga . The song comes from their third studio album ARTPOP , which was released in 2013. It was written and also produced by Gaga, DJ White Shadow, Dino Zisis and Nick Monson. Swine was played on the ArtRave: The Artpop Ball tour in 2014.
In 2015 it was used together with Til It Happens to You for the soundtrack of the documentary The Hunting Ground .

Swine belongs to the genre EDM and Dubstep , which can be heard especially in the two instrumental parts in the song. In December 2014, Gaga said on the Howard Stern Show that she was raped by a percent 20 years older than her when she was 19 years old. She says she's been through bad things but can now laugh about it because she went into therapy. The song Swine is about rape. The song was played for the first time at the iTunes Festival 2013, where the song also showed some rock elements.
Appearances
In August 2013 Gaga published a "teaser" which was about 1 minute long on Youtube, where you could see her rehearsing for the iTunes Festival . She posted a picture that read "REHEARSAL PIC #SWINEFEST #GETREADYTOSQUEAL". The show was held on September 1, 2013 and was also streamed online. During this performance, the dancers wore a pig mask and sprayed paint on the audience.
