The Monster Ball Tour was the second world tour of US singer Lady Gaga . It was directed for her album The Fame Monster (2009) and includes a set list of songs from her debut album The Fame (2008) and The Fame Monster. Lady Gaga described it as "the first pop electro opera". The tour was announced in October 2009 after a joint tour with rapper Kanye West was suddenly canceled. The Monster Ball Tour began four days after The Fame Monster was released in November 2009.
