The Joanne World Tour is the fifth concert tour of the US singer Lady Gaga . With the tour she is promoting her fifth studio album Joanne . The tour kicked off on August 1, 2017 in Vancouver , Canada , and in April she already performed two appearances at the Coachella Festival in Indio .

At the end of 2016, after three years, Lady Gaga's fifth solo album entitled Joanne was released . The official announcement for the accompanying tour was on February 6, 2017, one day after the singer made her biggest appearance to date on the Pepsi Halftime Show of the Super Bowl LI and was already promoting the tour. The 60 announced tour dates consist of 55 arena concerts in Europe and North America , four stadium gigs in San Francisco , Boston and New York City as well as an appearance at the Rock in Rio Festival. The singer also comes to Germany for concerts in Hamburg , Berlin and Cologne .
European advance sales began on February 10, 2017. In London and Paris the concerts were sold out within minutes, which is why the organizer is holding additional concerts on both days.
On February 13th, pre-sales for the first half of the US dates finally began, and several concerts were sold out within minutes. Bonus dates were announced a few hours after the start of sales, additional dates in New York City , Boston , Philadelphia , Inglewood , Las Vegas & Toronto .
As part of the Coachella Festival in April 2017, Lady Gaga performed on two days of the festival. The two Coachella concerts, however, should differ from the tour according to their own statements.
On September 15th it was announced that the 18 planned European dates of the tour would have to be postponed indefinitely. The reason for this are the poor health of the singer, who says she suffers from fibromyalgia . A planned appearance as part of the Rock in Rio Festival had to be canceled at short notice. According to an official press release, the shows are to be rescheduled in 2018. At the end of October it was announced that the dates will take place in January and February 2018. On February 3, 2018, the singer announced that the last ten appointments would not take place for health reasons.
