The Vivint Smart Home Arena is a multifunctional hall in Salt Lake City , Utah . The owner is Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment (LHMSE). The hall offers 19,911 seats for basketball games, in addition it has 56 VIP seats and 668 club seats. As the main user, the Utah Jazz team from the National Basketball Association (NBA) plays its home games in the hall, which opened in 1991 as the Delta Center .

In the 1990s, the arena served as the venue for the home games of the Salt Lake Golden Eagles and Utah Grizzlies from the International Hockey League . During the 2002 Winter Olympics , the hall was labeled Salt Lake Ice Center without advertising . The figure skating competitions and the short track competitions took place there during the games . From 2006 to 2013 the home games of the Utah Blaze team playing in the Arena Football League were held here.

The hall is also used for music concerts , ice shows ( Disney on Ice , Ice Age Live! ), Monster truck races, games of the Harlem Globetrotters , conferences and exhibitions .

The arena was modernized again for the 2013/14 season. The cabins of the home and guest teams were renovated. Likewise, a new modern hall received LED - video cube . The company Vivint , a smart home -Anbieter, acquired on 26 October 2015, the naming rights to the home of the Utah Jazz. The contract has a term of ten years and the hall is called Vivint Smart Home Arena .
