Select Service Partner (or SSP) is a British restaurant company. It runs several restaurant chains around the world as a concessionaire.

History

It became a division of Compass Group, the world's biggest food service company, itself part of Grand Metropolitan until 1987 until a £160 million management buy-out. Compass Group bought the company on 27 May 1993 for £72 million, which was announced on 19 May 1993. Compass put the company up for sale in September 2005, and in 2006 it was bought by EQT Partners. Kate Swann became Chief Executive in 2013.

SSP was divested from Compass Group in June 2006 for £1.822 billion. At the point of sale, SSP employed around 28,000 people in 28 countries and had made £114 million in profit. In the auction for SSP, PAI Partners were also bidders.

Structure

It has its group office at Brooklands, Weybridge, which concerns its international operations. Its UK operations are at the office on Euston Road, London.
