Emilia Fox (born July 31, 1974 in London, England) is an actress and the daughter of Edward Fox and Joanna David. She was educated at Bryanston School and Oxford University.

Fox is possibly best known for playing the character Jeannie Hurst in the 2000 remake of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased).

She has also appeared in Silent Witness, joining the cast on the departure of Amanda Burton. In 2003, she played Jane Seymour in a 2-part television biopic on King Henry VIII, with Ray Winstone as the king and Helena Bonham Carter as Anne Boleyn. In 2004, she played Lady Margaret in Part 2 of the Gunpowder, Treason and Plot mini-series about James I of England and the Gunpowder Plot.

Emilia Fox almost married the comedian Vic Reeves. However, in July 2005, she married British actor Jared Harris, the son of the late Irish actor Richard Harris.

Trivia

  • She was cast as Lynne Frederick in the 2004 HBO biopic, The Life And Death Of Peter Sellers starring Geoffrey Rush in the lead role. A whole section of the film focusing on the Frederick/Sellers relationship was removed in the final edit. (She can be seen briefly in a background shot towards the end of the film.) The excised scenes with Fox can be found with others among the special features on the DVD release of the film.
