(10245) Inselsberg is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on September 24, 1960 by Cornelis Johannes van Houten , Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld and Tom Gehrels at the Palomar Observatory ( IAU code 675) in California .
It was named on May 1, 2003 after the Inselsberg , a peak in the Thuringian Forest .
