(11554) Asios is an asteroid from the group of Jupiter Trojans , which was discovered on January 22, 1993 by EW Elst at the European Southern Observatory . It is used to describe asteroids that move around the sun on the Lagrange points on Jupiter's orbit .

The asteroid was named after Asios , a warrior of Aeneas in the Trojan War .
