(14016) Steller is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on January 16, 1994 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst and his French colleague Christian Pollas at the Observatoire de Calern ( observatory code 010) north of the city of Grasse in southern France.
The asteroid was on 19 February 2006 after the German physician and naturalist Georg Wilhelm Steller named (1709 to 1746), the 1741 expedition as doctor at the Danish captain Vitus Bering led Great Northern Expedition participated.
