(14100) Weierstrass is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 8 September 1997 by the Italian-American astronomer Paul G. Comba on Observatory Prescott ( IAU code 684) in Arizona was discovered.
The asteroid was named on May 23, 2000 after the German mathematician Karl Weierstraß (1815-1897), whose main work was the logically correct foundation of analysis and the development of function theory on the basis of power series expansions .
