(1857) Parchomenko ( 1971 QS 1 ; 1931 XT ; 1941 WJ ; 1974 OE 1 ) is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on August 30, 1971 by Tamara Mikhailovna Smirnova at the Crimean Observatory . The name is reminiscent of the Soviet astronomer Praskovia Georgievna Parchomenko .
