(2264) Sabrina is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 16 December 1979 by the American astronomer Edward LG Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station (IAU code 688) of the Lowell Observatory in Coconino County was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the legendary English princess Sabrina , the daughter of King Locrine , who, according to legend, was drowned in the Severn . After this event, the river was named Sabrina in Latin .
