(25893) Sugihara is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 19 November 2000 by the Chinese-born Canadian astronomer William Kwong Yu Yeung at Desert Beaver Observatory ( IAU code in 919) Arizona was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the Japanese diplomat Chiune Sugihara named (1900-1986), who as consul general in Lithuania Jews saved the lives of several thousand.
