(309239) 2007 RW 10 is a planetoid that was discovered on September 9, 2007 during the Palomar sky survey and belongs to the group of Trans-Neptunian objects . The asteroid orbit the sun in a moderately eccentric orbit in 166 years . The eccentricity of its orbit is 0.30, whereby it is inclined 36.18 ° to the ecliptic .
Recent studies have shown that it is currently in a quasi-orbit around the planet Neptune, that is a horseshoe-shaped orbit around Neptune, whose closest point to the Sun is on Uranus and whose point furthest from the Sun is about twice as far away.
These quasi-orbits can move the asteroid far away from the associated planet and it is usually very difficult to even recognize that such a quasi-orbit is a planet. Due to the great distance to the associated planet, these centaurs only remain in the current orbit for a few tens of thousands of years.
