(3356) Resnik is an asteroid of the main belt , the American US from March 6, 1984 astronomer Edward LG Bowell was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the American astronaut Judith Resnik , who perished on January 28, 1986 as a mission expert on the Challenger flight STS-51-L . The space shuttle was torn apart shortly after takeoff by the explosion of its liquid fuel tank.
