(5121) Numazawa is an asteroid of the Main Belt . It was discovered on January 15, 1989 by Masayuki Yanai and K. Watanabe at the Kitami Observatory Observatory Code 400 in Kitami .

The asteroid is named after Shigemi Numazawa , a Japanese amateur astronomer and photographer.
