(6535) Archipenko is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 17 October 1960 by the Dutch astronomer Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld , Cornelis Johannes van Houten and Tom Gehrels at Palomar Observatory ( IAU code was discovered 675).
The asteroid was named after the Ukrainian-American sculptor Alexander Archipenko (1887–1964), who was the first sculptor to transfer cubism to sculpture.
