(6681) Prokopovich is an asteroid of the main belt discovered on September 6, 1972 by the Ukrainian-Soviet astronomer Lyudmyla Shuravlowa at the branch of the Crimean Observatory ( observatory code 095) in Nautschnyj .
The asteroid is named after Theophan Prokopovich (1681–1736), Archbishop of Novgorod and ecclesiastical adviser to Peter the Great .
