(9102) Foglar is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on December 12, 1996 by the Czech astronomers Miloš Tichý and Zdeněk Moravec at the Kleť observatory ( IAU code 046) near the town of Český Krumlov in Bohemia .

The asteroid was named on July 28, 1999 after the Czech writer and author of books for young people, Jaroslav Foglar (1907–1999), who devoted his entire life as a group leader to the scouting movement .
