Ábel Szocska
Ábel Antal Szocska OSBM (born September 21, 1972 in Wynohradiw , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian religious and Hungarian Greek Catholic bishop of Nyíregyháza .
Life
Ábel Szocska joined the 1996 Congregation of the Basilian of Sts. Jehoshaphat at and received on 30 September 2001, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On 31 October 2015 it appointed Pope Francis to the Apostolic Administrator of the Eparchy Nyíregyháza. On April 7, 2018, the Pope appointed him Diocesan Bishop of Nyíregyháza. The Archbishop of Hajdúdorog , Fülöp Kocsis , donated him episcopal ordination on May 10th of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Miskolc , Atanáz Orosz , and the Secretary of the Congregation for the Eastern Churches , Archbishop Cyril Vasiľ SJ .
