The eparchy Nyíregyháza ( lat. : Eparchia Nyiregyhazana ) is in Hungary located eparchy of the Hungarian Greek Catholic Church based in Nyíregyháza .
history
The Nyíregyháza Eparchy was established on March 19, 2015 by Pope Francis from cession of territory to the Hajdúdorog Archepark and subordinated to it as a suffragan diocese. The Pope appointed Ábel Szocska OSBM as Apostolic Administrator on October 31 of the same year . On April 7, 2018, Pope appointed Ábel Szocska as the first diocesan bishop of the eparchy.
