Åsne Skrede (born June 22, 2000 ) is a Norwegian biathlete and cross-country skier.

Career

Åsne Skrede contested her first international biathlon competitions in March 2019 at the IBU Junior Cup 2018/19 in Sjusjøen , finishing in 28th and 22nd place in two sprint races. The following winter she took part in the 2020 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Lenzerheide , where she won two silver and one bronze medal. She was then nominated for the 2020 European Biathlon Championships in Minsk , where she won the bronze medal in the mixed relay together with Ida Lien , Sivert Guttorm Bakken and Aleksander Fjeld Andersen , with a fifth place in the sprint and eighth place in the pursuit race two more top 10 placements at the championships. She also took part in the last competitions of the IBU Cup of the 2019/20 season, which also took place in Minsk. On March 3, 2020, she finished third in the sprint race behind Elisabeth Högberg from Sweden and Stefanie Scherer from Germany and thus achieved her first podium finish in an individual race of the IBU Cup.
