Élise Caron (* 1961 ) is a French actress and singer who has also emerged in the fields of jazz and new music .

Career

Caron starred in Diane Kurys' Cocktail Molotov (1980) and then starred in Liliane de Kermadec's Le petit Pommier (1981). She is also involved in Jean Achache's feature film Un soir au club (2009) and in Jean-Paul Civeyrac's Des filles en noir (2010). In Jeanne et le garçon formidable (1998) by Olivier Ducastel and Jacques Martineau, she lent the voice of the Jeanne actress Virginie Ledoyen .

As a musician, she was a member of the Groupe de recherche et d'improvisation musicale du conservatoire (GRIMC). Luc Ferrari chose her as the interpreter of his vocal compositions. She has also worked with Jacques Rebotier, Fred Frith , Claude Barthélémy , Aldo Romano , Yves Robert , Edward Perraud and Michael Riessler ( Orange , 2000). Denis Badault brought her to the Orchester National de Jazz as a vocal soloist and flautist for several productions . Since 2000 she has released a number of her own albums; Among other things, she dealt with Jean-Rémy Guédon with the thoughts of the Marquis de Sade . According to Arte , she “appeals to young music fans (album and tour Chansons pour les petites oreilles ) as well as the more mature audience with her interpretations .” She is also involved in albums by Denis Chouillet ( Lerapatirole , 1996), Vincent Bouchot ( The Pizza Problem , 1999) and Albert Marcoeur ( Plusieurs cas de figures , 2001).

Prizes and awards

Caron was named French singer of the year with the Victoires du Jazz 2010.
