Émile-Marie Bunoz OMI (born February 24, 1864 in Sales , France , † June 3, 1945 ) was a French religious and Roman Catholic Vicar Apostolic of Prince George .

Life

Émile-Marie Bunoz joined the Congregation of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in and received on 28 March 1891, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Pope Pius X appointed him on March 8, 1908 as Apostolic Prefect of Yukon-Prince Rupert . On June 13, 1917, Pope Benedict XV appointed him . the titular bishop of Tentyris and Vicar Apostolic of Yukon Prince Rupert. The Archbishop of Vancouver , Timothy Casey , ordained him episcopal on October 18 of that year ; Co- consecrators were the Vicar Apostolic of Mackenzie , Gabriel Breynat OMI, and the Archbishop of Edmonton , Emile Joseph Legal OMI.

On January 14, 1944, Pope Pius XII appointed him . as the first Vicar Apostolic of Prince George.
