Jean-Louis-Antoine-Joseph Coudert OMI (born August 9, 1895 in Menat , France , † November 14, 1965 ) was a French religious and Roman Catholic Vicar Apostolic of Whitehorse .

Life

Jean-Louis-Antoine-Joseph Coudert joined the Congregation of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in and received on 2 November 1919, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On January 27, 1936, Pope Pius XI appointed him . as titular bishop of Rhodiapolis and coadjutor vicar of Yukon-Prince Rupert. The Archbishop of Québec , Jean-Marie-Rodrigue Cardinal Villeneuve OMI, donated him episcopal ordination on June 7th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Vicar Apostolic of Mackenzie , Gabriel Breynat OMI, and the Vicar Apostolic of Yukon-Prince Rupert, Émile-Marie Bunoz OMI.

Jean-Louis-Antoine-Joseph Coudert was appointed Vicar Apostolic of Whitehorse on January 15, 1944, succeeding Emile-Marie Bunoz, OMI, who had been appointed Bishop of Prince George . Coudert participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
