Éva Szemcsák (born March 24, 1975 in Miskolc ) is a former Hungarian biathlete .
Éva Szemcsák lives in Miskolc. She started for Miskolci Honvéd Sportegyesület and began biathlon in 1989. She competed in her first race in the Biathlon World Cup in 1993 and was 70th in an individual and 76th in a sprint race in Antholz . A first career highlight was the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer , where the Hungarian competed in the relay race with Anna Bozsik , Brigitta Bereczki and Beatrix Holéczy and finished in 17th place. It was the last Olympic relay operation of a Hungarian relay until today. In the 1994/95 season she reached in Lahti with a 44th place in a sprint race, her best individual result in the World Cup, in the following season she was able to achieve this result again in an individual in Antholz. In between, Szemcsák took part in their first World Championships in 1995 in Antholz and was 69th in the sprint race and 18th in the relay race with Bozsik, Zsuzsanna Bekecs and Holéczy. A year later, at the 1996 World Biathlon Championships in Ruhpolding, 71st places in individual and sprint and 16th place as the starting runner with Bozsik, Bernadett Dira and Bekecs in the relay race. The last world championships were the 1997 World Championships in Osrblie , where Szemcsák was 78th in the individual, 75th in the sprint and 17th in the team race with Bekecs, Kornélia Földi and Bozsik. In Nagano she was able to start again at the Winter Olympics in 1998 and came in 58th place in singles. In the post-Olympic season , Szemcsák made several World Cup appearances until the middle of the season, after which it was no longer used.
