Bernadett Dira (born April 8, 1980 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian biathlete .

Bernadett Dira lives and trained in Budapest. She started for Honvéd Zalka Gyöngyös and began biathlon in 1993. At the start of the 1995/96 season , she made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup at the age of 15 and was 88th of an individual in Östersund . If she was last in the individual, she was able to leave 23 runners behind as 68th of the following sprint. The first highlight of her first season was the 1996 World Biathlon Championships in Ruhpolding , where the Hungarian was 65th in the sprint and with Éva Szemcsák , Anna Bozsik and Zsuzsanna Bekecs 16th in the relay competition. At the end of the 1996/97 season Dira achieved her best career result in the World Cup in Novosibirsk as the 55th sprint. The 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano , where she was 63rd in the sprint, became the highlight of her career . This was followed by the Biathlon Junior World Championships 1998 in Jericho , in which Dira was 43rd of the individual. Later in the year, the Hungarian took part in the 1998 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Osrblie , where she was 37th in the sprint, 29th in the pursuit and eighth in the relay with Bekecs, Marta Barna and Kornélia Földi . The first international championship of the following year was the 1999 biathlon junior world championships in Pokljuka . Dira was used in three races, was 60th in the individual, 55th in the sprint and did not finish the race with the relay. At the end of his career a job at the Biathlon World Championships in 1999 at Holmenkollen in Oslo , Dira reached 62nd place in the individual.
