Ögmundur Kristinsson (born June 19, 1989 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic football goalkeeper .

Career

society

Ögmundur Kristinsson moved from youth to the 1st team of Fram Reykjavík in 2006. With Fram Reykjavík he played in the Pepsideild , the first division in Iceland. In 2013 he became the team's captain and celebrated his first title by winning the Icelandic Cup. On July 3, 2014, he also made his debut in international club football. In the first qualifying round for the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League , losing 1-0 to FC Nõmme Kalju from Estonia. The second leg ended 2-2. He left the club prematurely.

On July 16, 2014, he moved to Randers FC in Denmark. During the 2014/15 season he played only two games in the top Danish league, the Superliga . There were also three games in the Danish Cup. However, Ögmundur Kristinsson left the club after the end of the season.

In summer 2015 he moved to Sweden to Hammerby IF in Fotbollsallsvenskan , the highest league in Sweden. He played a total of three seasons with the club and made 61 league appearances. In addition, he was able to book 8 more sets in the Svenska Cupen , the Swedish Cup.

On August 31, 2017, Ögmundur Kristinsson moved to Excelsior Rotterdam. He is under contract with the Dutch first division club ( Eredivisie ) until June 30, 2018.

National team

Ögmundur Kristinsson played games for Iceland's U-19s and U-21s between 2006 and 2008. He made his senior national team debut on June 4, 2014. In the 1-0 win in the friendly against Estonia , he came on for Gunnleifur Gunnleifsson in the 45th minute .

At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was accepted as a substitute goalkeeper in Iceland's squad, but was not used.
