Decyl oleic acid is a chemical compound from the group of fatty acid esters (more precisely an ester of oleic acid ). It is an ester made from naturally occurring oleic acid and decyl alcohol .

Decyl oleic acid is a yellowish, oily liquid that is insoluble in water. It has a viscosity of 15 to 20 mPa · s and is used in cosmetic products (e.g. lipsticks ) as an emollient additive.
